Campercontact
Campercontact is a very useful app for finding campsites and pitches, as well as service areas.
You can search for pitches directly in the vicinity or via a search mask at the location of your choice. We were immediately impressed by the large number of pitches in this app. You also get all the useful information about the pitch. For example, whether there is a service point with gray water drainage and fresh water station and much more.
The rating function for the individual points is very helpful. Users can give a star rating and leave a comment. This gives you a good overview of whether other campers liked the campsite.
However, we find the“Trip planner” and“Routes” functions the most exciting.
Enter your start and destination in the journey planner. You will then be shown suggestions for stopovers along your chosen route. You can now check, change and accept all suggestions.
In the end, you have a ready-made itinerary for your next trip with the motorhome and don’t have to spend a lot of time planning during your vacation.
With the function “Route” function, there are many ready-made routes that are perfect for exploring by motorhome. For example:“Across the Pyrenees” or“From Rome to Sicily“. The routes have already been put together and include all the important places to visit and overnight stops.
Unfortunately, these two functions are only available in the premium version of the app. Since an annual subscription to the premium version of Campercontact is not particularly expensive, it could be worthwhile for many motorhome vacationers who do not want to spend time searching for pitches themselves.
park4night
Most motorhome owners are probably familiar with this app. Similar to Campercontact, you can find park4night you can find lots of places to camp.
In addition to classic camping and parking spaces park4night you can also find many places for“wild camping“. This is particularly practical in countries where wild camping is tolerated. The sites are added by the app users.
This is exactly why park4night has fallen into disrepute recently. A lot of“wild camping sites” are uploaded that are not necessarily suitable for this purpose. As a result, many motorhomes and campers are concentrated on small, unspoilt sites that are overloaded by the many motorhomes.

Apart from that, there are also many other interesting points on park4night. For example, you can find services in the app that are relevant for campers. FOR EXAMPLE: Gas bottle refill stations, launderettes, car washes for large vehicles and much more.
With the paid function“p4n+“, services can also be filtered directly so that you don’t have to search for them for long. In addition, p4n+ allows you to search for locations along a route.
As with Campercontact, the rating function is very useful. This allows you to get a first impression of the location before you arrive at a site.
1-2-3 refueling
You can save money with this app. Let’s be honest, looking at the price of fuel before filling up hurts every time. Fuel is a real luxury and really expensive.
All motorhome owners know it: the fuel tank in your beloved motorhome is much larger than in a car. It often fits more than twice as much. The sum is correspondingly high.
This makes it all the more important to keep an eye on fuel prices and not drive straight to the nearest petrol station. There are often petrol stations just a few meters away with a much better price.
There are numerous petrol station price comparison apps so that you don’t fill up unnecessarily expensively.
We can particularly recommend the“1-2-3 Tanken” app
This app is very simple and intuitive to use. At the beginning you select the fuel of your choice. Now you can either start a search in the vicinity of your current location or a location of your choice. You will then find all the petrol stations with price information on a clear map.
By the way, there is price information not only for Germany, but also for some other European countries, including: France, Spain & Portugal
ADAC Drive
This app from the ADAC is a very good alternative to Google Maps and very useful for motorhome drivers.
The app contains a large number of campsites, which you can display on the map when planning your route. If you have an ADAC membership, you can set the“Discount for members” filter here and see all campsites that offer a discount for ADAC members.
If you are looking for an app that allows you to find good campsites and pitches quickly and easily and navigate directly in the app, ADAC Drive is the perfect choice.
The excellent petrol station map in the app is also very useful. Here you can find all petrol stations with price information.
CoPilot GPS
This navigation app is particularly practical for motorhomes with larger dimensions. Most navigation apps do not take the dimensions of the vehicle into account.
It can happen that you suddenly find yourself in front of an underpass through which you cannot pass with your motorhome.
The CoPilot GPS app can help here. First of all, you create a vehicle profile in this app. All relevant dimensions and the weight of the vehicle are stored in the profile.
The app navigation now only provides route suggestions that match the vehicle profile. This means you no longer run the risk of ending up in an alley that is far too narrow or having to stop in front of an underpass.
Although using the app costs €29.99 for 12 months, there is a non-binding trial period of 14 days.
Supervolt App
The last app we would like to introduce to you in our article is the Supervolt App. This gives you direct access to your lithium battery data from Supervolt.
In the app, you can see all the important battery data quickly and easily at a glance. Among them:
- Tension
- Current flow
- Temperature
- State of charge in % (SOC)
- Remaining capacity
- Cell voltage
- Remaining time until battery is full or empty
- Charging cycles
Even if you have several Supervolt batteries in operation, you can monitor all your Supervolt batteries in the multi-battery view – up to 8 connected batteries are possible at the same time.
To avoid confusion when there are several batteries, all batteries can be easily renamed as required.
With the“Auto Connect” function, the app automatically connects to the battery when the app is opened
