Installation report of 2 pieces Supervolt 150 Ah in a Pössl 2WIN R plus year of construction 07/2020, which was kindly provided by our customer Ralf Sandtner.
Supervolt lithium battery installation report in PÖSSL 2WIN R
In this very detailed installation report, our customer Ralf explains how he installed 2x 150Ah Supervolt LiFePO4 batteries in his PÖSSL and what to look out for.
Important! Before starting work:
- If connected, disconnect the shore power!
- Schaudt electric block EBL 119 Change battery selector switch to lead/gel!
- In the 2020 model series, the Schaudt charging booster WA 121545 was installed behind the Schaudt EBL 119.
- Factory setting = AGM/C3/45Ah (battery/alternator type/max. charging capacity) Switch to lithium when the engine is not running. I have left the output at 45 AH. (A higher power rating must be deducted from the wiring, without knowledge of fusing and cable cross-sections, you should leave the 45 Ah). Under the front passenger seat:
- The fuse for the body batteries is 40 Ah -> and in the case of a compressor refrigerator there is also a 20 Ah fuse. -> Pull out both!
- Any other voltage sources such as: solar charge controllers, additional chargers, fuel cells, etc. Switch load-free!
- In my vehicle, the dealer has installed the solar regulator from Büttner here. This fuse is easily accessible from the front.
- There are of course many other possible solar controller installations, but one thing applies to all of them: Disconnect the power supply!
- Set the solar charge controller to the parameters of the battery!

Removing the front passenger seat: "Plastic trim"
- Open the front seat flap and click it out of the hinges.
- Remove the two side covers of the front passenger seat by loosening the marked screws.
- In my case, one of the fastening screws is also the fastening for the inverter
Remove front passenger seat : "Turntable" Door side....
- Completely remove the screws marked in blue on the right-hand side of the seat
- The point marked in red shows the position of the retaining bolt whose nut can only be removed once the side panels have been removed
Remove the front passenger seat: "Turntable" Remove the nuts from the retaining bolts on both sides of the seat .
Separate the two bolts from the nut.
Remove front passenger seat : "Turntable" Remove stop bolt
- Carefully loosen this bolt with a 20 mm open-end wrench and unscrew it by hand in the seat rotation position in which the mounting hole is located above it.
- ATTENTION SEAT IS NOW LOOSE!
- When raising the seat, unlock and disconnect the electrical connection of the belt tensioner. Pay attention to the seat ground cable!
- From now on, the message that the airbag is faulty appears when the ignition is switched on! This message disappears again when this plug is plugged back in when the seat is installed
Release the yellow connector of the seat belt/airbag - switch by sliding the purple release.
Also note that the small black ground cable that was attached between the seat and the console will be reconnected later. (In my case it was clamped with the stud bolt on the seat console)
The yellow plug is normally found on the door side of the passenger seat. However, it may also have been laid during the factory installation of the Pössl batteries! Please lift the seat carefully and check the cable positions so that none are damaged.
If you now lift the seat from the console
(preferably with two people!), make sure that the stud bolts are not damaged!
Attention!
These can scratch the surface on which you place the seat
!!!
Remove existing on-board batteries :
- Loosen and remove the earth cable from the battery(ies) using a 10 mm open-end wrench. It is possible that it is corroded at the lead terminal, in this case, open the screw more and spread the battery clamp, but with feeling, so that the battery is not damaged.
- Now disconnect the plus cable, but
- CAUTION if you have two batteries under the seat, you cannot reach the seat console with the positive terminal disconnected!!!! Risk of accident due to short-circuit arc!!! Insulate the positive terminal with insulating tape before removing it!
- Now you can safely remove the last positive terminal.
Install Supervolt batteries :
- Read the operating instructions carefully and through to the end before installing the batteries.
- If there are any question marks hanging over your head, consult a specialist or contact the experts at Supervolt.
The batteries are installed :
….. should look something like this or similar.
Now you can get to grips with dismantling the seat.
Everything as for dismantling but the other way round.
After that, I hope you enjoy your Supervolt!
These installation instructions can only be regarded as an aid for exactly the same Pössl model (2WINR Plus with compressor refrigerator).
Epilogue

I have the MT 5000 IQ battery computer with 500 A shunt, which deviates slightly in the measured values, despite being set to lithium and the voltage…..
The only thing I found bad was the seat assembly, bad, no, I’m going to puke…….
I also found the amateurish wiring from my dealer (Moser / Mainz) to be bad 🙁
