Notes on battery disposal
1. taking back used batteries free of charge
Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. As the end user, you are legally obliged to return used batteries so that proper disposal can be guaranteed. You can return batteries free of charge after use at the point of sale or in the immediate vicinity (e.g. at municipal collection points or in shops). You can also return batteries to us with sufficient postage.
2 Meaning of the symbols
Batteries or rechargeable batteries that contain harmful substances are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out dustbin. This symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. The chemical name of the pollutant is located near the waste garbage can symbol. Cd stands for cadmium, Pb for lead and Hg for mercury.
